The golf course, designed in 1929, offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is consistently ranked among North Carolina’s top courses.

Donald Ross, the famed Scottish-born golf course architect, created Mimosa Hills taking painstaking advantage of Morganton, North Carolina’s natural beauty and phenomenal panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain views. Ranked as one of the top facilities in the Carolinas, Mimosa Hills is an old-style layout that is second to none in the golf hole charisma.

Mimosa Hills has been the site of U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying, U.S. Amateur Qualifying, the Carolinas Open, the North Carolina Women’s and Men’s Amateur, the North Carolina Boys and Girls Junior, the Carolinas Junior, the NC Women’s Senior, and the Carolinas Mid-Am Championship. Mimosa Hills also hosted the United States Hickory Open in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
